Masters Swimming Section
The Masters Swimming Section of Reading Swimming Club offers training to swimmers aged 19 years and over. The squad is a mix of fitness, competitive and social swimmers, training at a variety of levels. All sessions are coached programmes.
Squad members attend local and national meets in the pool and open water. Katie Henderson currently holds two breaststroke short course world records and along with Karl Buchholtz appears in the Fina top 10 world ranking list for 2008. We have approximately 60 members, but room for more. Come along and try a session. Speak to the coach on poolside and they will guide you to a suitable lane for your fitness level. Sessions cost around the same as a public swim (although without Reading Passport etc) but give the challenge of working to a set programme with like-minded swimmers of similar ability.
Swimmers can choose the number of sessions they wish to swim each week and fees are set accordingly. The majority swim between 2 and 3 sessions a week.
