Amersham Novice Gala 2010

Reading Swimming Club’s junior swimmers competed at The Chiltern Pool Amersham in the home club’s novice team gala. For a number of the Reading swimmers this was their first ever team competition, with the opposition coming from Sea Byrds, Chalfont Otters, Bicester, Henley and the hosts.

Christmas Tickover

It will come as a huge relief to last minute Christmas shoppers to hear that Central Pool closes around 3pm on Christmas Eve so the last Club Night will be on Thursday Dec 17th and will be the fun gala which will start around 6pm. Top and District Squads will train as normal and other squads will just do the fun gala.

Jersey Report

Twenty six members from the Evening Post sponsored Reading Swimming Club travelled to Jersey last weekend for the AIB Jersey Tigers Meet and what promised to be a very gruelling weekend. The aim of this weekend was to subject most of our swimmers to a long 3 day meet for the first time and to get them to understand the importance of resting and preparing for such a meet.
