Imogen races to South-East Regional title
9th Allan Eyles 2011
Golds galore for swimming meet hosts. Reading SC won a total of 21 gold medals when they hosted their popular Allen Eyles invitation meeting at the Central Pool. They also secured 23 silvers and 19 bronze. The competition was for those who had missed out on achieving county qualifying times. Thirty Reading members took part in age groups ranging from eight to 17 years. The visiting clubs were Maidenhead, Newbury and Wycombe.
Thames Valley Junior League 2011 'A' Final - Report
Reading Swimming hosted the 'A' Final of the Thames Valley Junior League at the Central pool. To make the 'A' Final was the target set by the Head Coach Tony Woodward at the start of the competition back in January. Reading have for many years used this competition to introduce young swimmers to competitive racing and as with previous years each round has shown great improvements in times swum by the youngsters.

Thames Valley Junior League 2011 Round 2 Report
Reading Swimming Clubs 2nd round of the Thames Valley Junior League was swam at the Northcroft Leisure Centre Newbury. Competing teams were from Newbury, Chesham, Chalfont and Slough & Eton. For the second round running, the team from Teddington did not swim. Despite this competition being mainly a development exercise for our younger swimmers, Reading’s aim was to achieve a 3rd or higher finish to gain entry into the 'A' final of the competition and we knew that we had to match our last round performance. This was achieved with some greatly improved swims (27 out of 43).
RSC Party and Awards Evening 2011
On Saturday evening, Reading Swimming Club, one of the oldest swimming clubs in the country, held its annual party and awards night in Pangbourne. The evening was attended by 160 swimmers, coaches and parents who gathered to celebrate the successes achieved at the annual Club Championships held in October 2010. Reading Evening Post were there to capture the events.
Thames Valley Junior League 2011 Round 1 Report
Reading hosted the 1st round of the Thames Valley Junior League at the Central Pool against teams from Amersham, Wycombe, Chalfont and Slough & Eaton, Teddington failed to arrive.
Success at Windsor Open Meet 2011
Several swimmers from Reading Swimming Club attended the Windsor Level 2 Open Meet on the Weekend 22/23 January. "The best set of group results for ages" commented Tony Woodward, RSC Headcoach, after the meet.

Annual General Meeting 19 October 2010
All, the AGM is upon us and we need to canvas, coerce parents to form a committee to support and manage Reading Swimming Club through the next season and beyond. Not wishing to sound like an old Prime Minister I am hoping that ‘things can only get better’. I know that it is a big ask and that we are all very busy with our own day to day lives but the only way RSC is going to grow and continue is by the parents of our swimmers forming an active committee to lead the club forward. I have attached a list of the roles that must be filled.
Newbury Open meet 19 June 2010
Reading swimmers took the short journey to the Northcroft Sports Centre Newbury to compete in their Open Meet.
Masters Day Off - 27 June 2010
After long deliberation it has been decided to give the Masters a day off on Sunday 27 June.
British Gas Masters & Senior Age Group Championships
Reading's Masters squad coached by Chris Pearce are regular visitors to the medals rostrum at major championships, the pinnacle being top breaststroker Katie Henderson's world record swim in Spain early in the season.
South East Regional Championships 2010
The last two weekends have produced two more medals for Reading, both going to Ellie Wood and both in her favoured Fly events.
Amersham Novice Gala 2010
Reading Swimming Club’s junior swimmers competed at The Chiltern Pool Amersham in the home club’s novice team gala. For a number of the Reading swimmers this was their first ever team competition, with the opposition coming from Sea Byrds, Chalfont Otters, Bicester, Henley and the hosts.
Reading Masters FINA Ranking
Reading Swimming Club’s thriving Masters squad, coached by Chris Pearce, again features in the annual rankings listed by FINA, the world swimming governing body.
