Level 2 Swimming Coach for Masters

Reading Swimming Club is looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic, organized, highly motivated and committed ASA Level 2 Swimming Coach to work alongside our Head Coach and Masters coaching team. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable, passionate about swimming, a great communicator, flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities as required. The role is part time on a self-employed basis. We are committed to providing ongoing training to enable you to develop coach qualifications. Up to 7 hours per week on poolside.

Duties & Responsibilities 
Excellence in coaching and the ability to motivate and encourage adult swimmers at all levels in order to achieve their potential. 
Commitment to allocated squad (Masters) 
Ability to communicate effectively with club members, coaching staff and swimmers 
Effective time management, planning and organisation.

 

Level 2 Teaching Coordinator

Reading Swimming Club is looking to recruit an experienced enthusiastic ASA Level 2 licensed swimming teacher to coordinator the Reading Swimming Club learn to swim programme. The role is part time on a self-employed basis. We are committed to providing ongoing training to enable you to develop coach qualifications. Hours to be confirmed.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To establish and maintain high safety standards in the pool area and ensure the safe and correct use of the RSC venue facilities and equipment.
  • To coordinator swimming assessments and ensure that all assessments are consistently assessed with respect to the RSC LTS programme levels.
  • To liaise with Head Coach to understand swimmer's development needs
  • To plan and organise with the existing teachers, quality swimming sessions appropriate to the ability of the children, utilizing the swimming resources available.
  • To ensure that all areas of the RSC LTS program compile with swim 21 requirements and implement performance indicators to show throughput of swimmers into club squads.
  • To ensure all RSC teaching staff are appropriately qualified and are up to date with their CPDs.
  • To assist with the organisation of the RSC ribbon galas and to ensure all swimmers and parents in the LTS programme understand this is one of the club's methods of fast tracking children into the competitive stream.
