A message from the Head Coach, Graeme

Our Head Coach, Graeme Thomas, said that he was "very pleased with the weekend on a number of levels. For younger swimmers it was their first exposure to a two day meet, and this experience will stand them in good stead for forthcoming competitions.

It was great to see a number of records getting broken, Some as old as 22 years!

The programme is, as intended, particulary demanding, as most swimmers compete in every event, and it's good to get times in events which swimmers do not sometimes have the opportunity to race in open meets

With no swim-down between races, the culmative effect of racing takes its toll on the swimmers bother physically and mentally. The toughness we saw with most swimmers, particularly in the last couple of sessions, was admirable.
